Hi there, I'm Cindy!
I graduated from the Centre for Digital Media with a Master of Digital Media degree. I also hold a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Recently, I worked as an Audio-Visual developer at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
As a developer, I strive to use my technical and problem-solving skills to create digital media products, including workflow tools, video games, and interactive experiences. The process of transforming a linear algebra equation or an algorithm into memorizing visuals has never ceased to amaze me.
My love of storytelling has led me to explore different creative spaces such as video production, illustration, game design, and behaviour science. I have a soft spot for mixed media animation, always experimenting with new techniques and practicing my craft. A generalist mindset helps me become a quick learner and communicate effectively at the intersection of arts and technology.
In my free time, I am actively involved in the Vancouver International Film Festival. I am on the International Screening Committee, previewing narrative features and documentary features in consideration for the film festival. I also volunteer as a year-round video editor, working closely with the marketing team and the curators to create sizzle reels, highlights, and preview trailers for the social media and the Vancity Theatre.
