After three years of being closed and a major transformation to its building, London’s National Portrait Gallery, which was the first portrait gallery in the world, reopened to the public on June 22nd, 2023
For this multi-million-pound transformation project, ngx Interactive was tasked to design and produce over 40 digital media exhibits, including films, interactives, and a large-scale projection mapping experience.
I worked as a tech lead to work with the head of software to guide strategy and production of interactive exhibits, collaborate with project managers to identify resourcing needs, develop assigned software according to UI/UX designs, and oversee the installation of the final software builds at the gallery.
The entirety of the project began in late Sept 2022 and was installed in early June 2023 - a little less than 9 months total to incorporate digital media through the entire gallery.
