North Vancouver Island has some of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems on the planet, and I hope to use my camera and storytelling to capture a sense of her glory. Follow my lenses with a 6 minute ride up to the far North and get a taste of how breathtakingly beautiful our blue planet is.
This is one of my favourite diving spots! Field of gorgonians and mesmerizing display of colour... SO CRAZY!
My camera housing was fogging so badly, but I managed to bring some photos back. As a "mini Browning Wall", Husser Point has a rainbow display of colours. Red Irish Lords almost everywhere! Puget Sound King Crab(s?), finger sponges and all those pinky soft corals were so adorable. Oh did I mention the current? At one point I had to do some scuba rock(barnacle)-scrabbling to stay close to the wall... but at least I spent a good five-minute just admiring the microcosm of life that a tiny square foot of this wall hosts :)
And here're some Port Hardy Otters. Cuteness overload!!! 😍
End the post with some kelp forests. A full PNW treatment!
